My blog's one year anniversary

Today is my blog's one year anniversary!!
More I am continuing on it, more I found it wasn't an easy job. I have already left several unfinished articles which I am quite sure I will not be able to finish it. Sad though, I know I have made a good move, at least it was gradually updated by my little thoughts and feelings of the life. I am fairly satisfied.
Since the beginning I knew I am doing this blog for myself. But I guarantee to you I am still very excited when I found new comments on my entries and I even made new friends through it.
Several days ago, I read an article talking about the blog attitude, says the blog is like to put your own blanket under the sun so you are obligated to keep this blanket nice and clean. It was a funny way of description but it was true somehow. It is weired that we expose our own private lifes in front of others and we enjoy doing it. Moreover, we are even more encouraged by the exposure.
Can't be sure how far my blog can go but I will make my efforts and keep it nice and clean.
lol... two glasses of white wine for toasting...

My Hunting of HK friends

Since An is away, suddenly I realized I am having an really unhealthy type of life. I hardly have friends here.
It seems I was back 10 years ago, when this silly 18-year-old girl first arrived at Shanghai in a drizzly morning. Alone, knowing nobody and was willing to afford all her life from zero. Now I am back to the same departure line, apart An, HK is fresh as 10 years ago Shanghai to me.
The good thing is I did grow a lot in the past 10 years, and I already became a funny wise matured woman. (sorry for my such-high self-evaluation) Since I figured out the problem, the next step is to fix it.
Quickly, I found some methods to get to know new friends.
1. during browsing internet, I found this gter website and its gter HK forum is doing damn well. Basically, it collects all the students from mainland who study in HK. Without a big effort I found two future classmates: one from Shenzhen, 6 years younger than me, a fresh graduate from university; another from Beijing, 5 years elder than me, one really worked in the field of media. Only CityU is going to have 30 new mainland students for its 2005 September semester. And of course, I am one of it.
2. Through a outdoor activity magazine, I got to know this local cww website. Local Hongkongers arrange outdoor activities. And if people is interested can apply to join them. After two emails ( one in Simplified Chinese, one in English), I still get no answer from them ;-( Meanwhile, I am quite worried about my cantonese ability. I felt very awkward that often people can not communicate with me in Mandarin.
3. www.doyouhike.net : one of the best hicking websites in China. They have Mofang@HongKong. Already enrolled an activity.
4. Maybe a Sunday Church gathering: not so sure right now.
OK, that's all for the moment. Anyone gets good advice please feel free to let me know,
Good night!!

what a crazy world!!!

Finally, I am able to sit down calmly and write things down, which I have been thinking since I am back from Shanghai. The main reason I can still sit in front of the computer so late is because An is departing to Italy for his seven-day vacation. He wasn't really willing to go back Italy, especially without my participation this time. But his parents miss him, and no matter how old he grows, parents are forever parents. Actually, I appreciated he did this. They say one big evaluation about man is to see how he treats his parents and relatives. At the end, when there is no more love, no more special feelings, at least he has some basic moralities to deal with woman.
The 2nd day I was back HK, I got a bad news about Shu. She was having a marriage crisis and her husband wants a divorce at any cost. The reason came out was cruel - he has been staying with a woman, only in 2 months. He denied everything with Shu, their more than 10-year feeling, their 2-year-old son, everything. He just wants her to set him free. To reach his aim, he hurts her by words, by any possible way he can do (including not returning back home). This terrifies me!!! A man, myself knew around 8 years, can turn to be a demon. Needless to repeat all the details, I just felt bad as well as all the other dorm girls. We once thought they would be the most model couple. But, but everything collapsed within a second. Shu let him free as he wished and she is undergoing a bittest life ever had.
Then I was talking with another College mate, newly married last year. Astonished to know, he nearly divorced. At the end, he managed to save his marriage leaving some crakes in his feeling.
And then, a travel mate I got to know in Sichuan. I was so admirable, she was able to maintain a good relationship with her husband, even they both differ so much. Can't be happy longer, she told me she is facing divorce too.
Is there anywhere somebody is not going to divorce?? Is there anybody can be a little bit more responsible about marriage, about his/her partner?? I have no answer.
I hate this society. People change so much and lose any possible ethnics.
I doubt and I am scared.
It is a crazy world full of nuts!!!
